As everyone wished , both Sankranthi biggies Khaidi No 150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni opened strongly at the box office and garnered good word of mouth from all sections of audience. Despite few shortcomings in narration, audience are lapping up these films big time thanks to the stunning performances from both Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. Both these aged actors shouldered the films from the beginning till the end.
Khaidi No. 150 collected solid figures on its first day, setting up new records in many territories of the Telugu states. Also, the film missed the Baahubali premiers day record in overseas by a wishker. On the other side , Gauthamiputra Satakarni, which gave career best opening day figures for NBK, is gaining strength at the box office with the glowing word of mouth.
Both these films will now be looking for a solid weekend, taking advantage of the Sankranthi festival. In Overseas, it will be a crucial first weekend for these biggies as they have long way to touch the break even mark.
