Sardaar Gabbar Singh Audio Review

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s forthcoming actioner Sardar Gabbar Singh is one of the highly anticipated films this Summer. The audio, composed by music sensation Devi Sri Prasad, was launched in style last night. DSP delivered chartbuster albums for Jalsa, Gabbar Singh and Attarintiki Daredhi and this is their fourth collaboration. Let us see what’s in store for the music lovers this time.

Cast & Crew : Pawan Kalyan,Kajal Aggarwal,Laxmi Rai, Sanjana
Director : K.S Ravindra (Bobby)
Music Director : Devi Sri Prasad
Audio On : EROS Music

Song 1: Sardar
Singer : Benny Dayal

The album kicks off in style with the title song ”Sardaar”. The song starts with Devi Sri Prasad’s energetic vocals introducing the return of Gabbar Singh accompanied by his signature tune. Singer Benny Dayal infused a lot of energy into this song with his baritone voice. The lyrics penned by Ram Jogayya Sastry are completely catchy and they complement very well to the song’s maniac energy. Devi Sri used the keyboard and guitar to a great effect to make this song one of the best in the album.

Song 2 : O’ Pilla Shubanalla
Singer(s) : Shreya Ghoshal, Vijay Prakash

Moving on to the second one, we come across a melody song, O’Pilla Shubanalla. Devi Sri Prasad roped in Shreya Ghoshal and Vijay Prakash to croon for this mellifluous number. The impressive voices of the singers are backed by the rhythmical swing of DSP’s violin. The lilting tune raises and drops in a way to make this song a pleasant one to hear. Lyricist Samantha Sriram does a fair job with his pen.

Song 3 : Tauba Tauba
Singer : David Simon

The third song in the album, Tauba Tauba, is a fun and peppy number which will play to the gallery. Sung by David Simon, the song begins with an impressive tune that elevates the proceedings. The catchy lyrics will surely woo the mass audience and it only gets better on screen with Pawan Kalyan shaking his leg for the feisty trumpet beats.

Song 4 : Nee Chepakallu
Singers : Sagar,Chinmayee

The penultimate song in the list is Nee Chepakallu sung by Sagar and Chinmayee. This is a regular one in the album which neither offers a variety with its tune nor does it attract with its substandard lyrics. Both the singers did a decent job with their vocals, but the tune and lyrics lack any novelty

Song 5 : Chinnadani Soopulona
Singers : Simha and Mamata Sharma

The last song in the album is a funky number sung by Simha and Mamata Sharma. The lyrics are penned in such way that they hail the khakhee – clad hero. Both the singers maintained good energy levels throughout the song, but the repetitive mass tune might not create an impact on the listeners

Theme Song : Aadevadanna Eedevadanna

Racy theme Song, has fans appealing signature lines “Aadevadanna… Eedevadanna..Sardaranna ki addevadanna ?” , has nothing much to rave about.

Verdict :

All in all, Sardar Gabbar Singh is another energetic album from Devi Sri Prasad with fun and trendy numbers, but lacks novelty in the tunes. The title song, Tauba Tauba and O’ Pilla Shubanalla are the best in the album and the rest are a run-in-the-mill.
