Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Sensational director Puri Jagannadh have come together for Slumdog 33 Temple Road. The teaser of the film has been launched today and team met press in Chennai. Speaking at the event, Vijay Sethupathi called Puri Jagannath as history in himself.
He said, “Puri Jagannath and I had a small connection before working on this film when I acted in the remake of Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi as a junior artiste. I can’t say in words how wonderful it was working with him. He keeps writing between shots, during breaks and every story is good. I enjoyed working with him on this action film.”
Vijay Sethupathi further said, “Slumdog will be a huge Pan-India blockbuster as I believe in my director and our story is intense.” Puri Jagannath thanked VJS for accepting the film and giving him his debut in Tamil. He said, “I got very highly talented actors for this film and this story is full of intense emotions.”
He further said, “This film is based on two real incidents and I am telling the story of homeless and defenseless people.” About VJS he said, “Such a brilliant actor and he can deliver any emotion. I am happy that we worked together and wish to work with him again.” Tabu, Duniya Vijay, Samyukta are playing prominent roles in the film produced by Puri Connects and JB Narayana Rao.
