There was a time when Srinu Vaitla, Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan turned as a team and scored back to back blockbusters. Soon differences parted them and Srinu Vaitla failed to repeat the magic thereafter. Kona Venkat too had not major breaks despite of testing his luck with a bunch of films. Another writer Gopi Mohan was left idle and his directorial plans too have been shelved. Srinu Vaitla and Kona Venkat announced that they would never work together again in the future.
Srinu Vaitla after a disaster like Amar Akbar Anthony is working on his next project. After a long gap, Srinu Vaitla and Gopi Mohan are teaming up and working on a comic entertainer. The film is said to be the sequel for Dhee and Manchu Vishnu is in talks to play the lead role in the sequel. 24 Frames Factory will produce this film and an official announcement is expected soon.
Srinu Vaitla is also working on a web series titled Anandam which will roll soon. The script work of this project got completed recently.
