Gundu Sundharani, Telugu Desam Rajya Sabha MP from Telangaga, today met chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at his Delhi residence giving credence to rumors that she is going to switch over to TRS tomorrow. She told media that she met chief minister Rao only to thank him for the imitatives he had taken to develop Telangana state. She said she had expressed her gratitude to the chief minister who declared Warangal as smart city. ” I am also impressed by the other initiative such as Kakatiya Mission, Water Grid project and double-bed room project for the poor. I want to participate in the development initiated by the Telangana government,” Sudharani said.
According to Sudharani, there was nothing wrong in meeting Telangana chief minister as the daughter of the state and also defended her action referring to meeting of Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana chief minister KCR in Amaravati.
When asked about the talk about the possibility of her joining TRS, she said,” you will see everything. There is no need to tell about what is going to happen. You will see if it happens,” she said in New Delhi. She talked in such a way that all Telangana people should extend support to chief minister Rao for his developmental works. This clearly indicates that she has taken a decision to quit TDP. Because, in the past 16 months she has never chosen to meet Rao or Congratulate him.
According to sources, Sudharani, a leader from a BC community will campaign on behalf of TRS candidate and ask the people to support only TRS to sustain the development of Telangana as she did by joining the party quitting TDP. In lieu of this she is said to have been offered a plum position either in the form of Rajya Sabha renomination or the post of Warangal Mayor.
