SS Rajamouli’s epic fantasy Baahubali 2 is blowing away various box office records every day since its release on April 28th. The war spectacle has emerged as the highest grossing Indian film and also became the first Indian film to launch the 1000 Crore club. The overseas box office journey is no different as the film raked sensational revenues in the first weekend in all territories.
Continuing its juggernaut at the US box office, Baahubali 2 has dominated the second weekend as well. After a fantastic first week with a record breaking $ 13.08 M in US, the film has galloped its way to $ 16 M by the end of second weekend. The film collected $ 828K on Friday and $1510K on Saturday to take the total past the $ 15M mark. On Sunday, the film notched up another million ( $ 1055K) and breached the 100 Crore mark in US with $ 16.47 M by the end of Sunday.
Trade analysts said that the film has touched the break even mark and entered the profit zone.
