0

The state government also issued the Telangana Epidemic Diseases (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020 by invoking The Epidemic Diseases ACT, 1897.

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar issued the Government order, framing the regulations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Virus, in Telangana. These regulations shall come into force immediately and will remain valid for one year.

The regulations have empowered Director of Public Health (DPH), Director of Medical Education, all District Collectors, Commissioners of Police, District Superintendents of Police and all the Municipal Commissioners of Corporations to take measures necessary to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus or its spread.

All hospitals, both government and private, have been asked to provide COVID-19 corners for screening of suspected cases.

RRR to be the most affected Indian Film due to Coronavirus

0

The coronavirus outbreak left the whole globe in shock and is left shut. All the shoots of Indian films are put on hold to prevent the spread of coronavirus. RRR is said to be the most impacted film due to the deadly virus. There are strong speculations that RRR will now miss the announced release date of January 8th, 2021. Here are some of the factors which makes RRR the most impacted film due to coronavirus:

A lot of stake is involved in the film. RRR is already delayed by 8 months and further delays will sure make the interests heap up by crores. The margin in the profits will sure come down due to the delay. The film’s budget is Rs 400 crores and the producer DVV Danayya borrowed a hefty amount from the financiers. There would be a huge burden of interests on him because of this delay.

RRR has a bunch of renowned foreign actors and actresses. Acquiring their dates, planning schedules and bringing them to India for the shoot is a major challenge in this tough time. The travel ban is imposed across various countries and we are not sure when the world turns coronavirus free.

A bunch of renowned VFX studios based in the USA are working on the graphics for RRR. With the globe in lockdown, it is still unclear about when the content will be sent and the date of delivery will sure not be clear as of now. The release date will also be decided by the time the VFX output would be delivered.

Planning the schedules back and acquiring the dates of all the actors as per the combinations is the major challenge for any director. With several top actors on board, Rajamouli’s team will have to sweat out and get the dates of actors like Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani and others on time and then plan the schedules. This may also delay the shoot by months.

Alia Bhatt already allocated dates for RRR twice and the shoots got stalled due to various reasons. It is almost confirmed that Alia will not be a part of the project. The makers will now have to finalize another lead actress for the role and the combination scenes should be planned.

SS Rajamouli is a perfectionist and he is not bothered about the release date till he gets the desired output.

Last but not the least, the buyers across Telugu states have paid hefty advances for the theatrical rights of RRR. They would have to wait during this delay. The upcoming projects of NTR and Ram Charan too will be delayed because of RRR.

All these will surely bring a lot of financial stress to the film in many ways making RRR the most impacted movie of the country.

COVID-19: As Govt Denies Community Transmission, Experts Say Too Few Tested To Know

0

Hasibul Nisha, 35, from Dwarka in New Delhi, has been suffering from a dry cough, cold and fever for six days. Her family is worried it might be COVID-19, which has affected more than 200,000 people globally and killed more than 8,000, and is slowly spreading in India. They said they visited three nearby private hospitals in Moti Bagh for tests but were turned away

Nisha’s daughter, Zareena Sheikh, has kept abreast with all COVID-19 advisories and updates and said she believes her mother has similar symptoms. “The doctor keeps giving paracetamol tablets to my mother…The hospitals were really crowded and the doctors said that this is not how checking [for COVID-19] will be done,” Sheikh said

Nisha has no recent history of travel to any affected country and has not been in contact with any confirmed COVID-19 patient that could qualify her for free testing. If Nisha has COVID-19, it could mean community transmission, of which there is no evidence, Indian health authorities insisted once again at a press conference on March 19

Only someone who has symptoms of the disease, such as a cough, fever and breathlessness, can get tested under India’s COVID-19 testing guidelines, if they fulfil one of these conditions: they should have traveled to an affected country and/or had contact with a confirmed case

Until now, India has tested 12,426 people–nearly 9.2 tests per million people. By contrast, Italy had tested 165,541 people until March 18, 2020, or 2,740.75 tests per million. South Korea, which has been able to stabilise the spread of the disease, with a low fatality rate of 0.9%, had tested 295,647 people until March 18, 2020–5,729.6 per million–and is continuing to mass test 20,000 people every day, for free. The UK is testing about 1,500 cases daily–846.7 per million people–and is planning to ramp this up to 10,000.

“Test, test, test” is the message that World Health Organization Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus gave to all countries on March 16, 2020.

“We need to be doing more testing, we have a very restrictive testing criterion right now… and these [testing] numbers are too low,” said Bhan.

Modi calls for daylong ‘Janata Curfew’ on March 22

In wake of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, which has also affected India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged the people of the country to opt for a ‘Janata Curfew’ on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In a special address to the nation, Modi said: “Today I am requesting the people of the country for a Janata curfew, on March 22, this Sunday, from between 7 a.m to 9 p.m.

“…This is public curfew. Janata curfew means for the public, curfew imposed on public by themselves.”

He urged people to follow this ‘curfew’, not go out on the streets or even gather in their societies and stay inside their homes.

The Prime Minister further urged people above the age of 60 should avoid going out in the coming weeks.

Sharing an instance from the past, he said: “Might be the present generation is not aware… when there were a situation of war, and villages were blacked out and the glass of the windows was darkened. People use to take precautions and even in case the there was no war, the local administration carried out a drill regularly.”

The Prime Minister also urged the people to follow the instructions issued by the state governments.

“Today everyone has to take a resolve to not get infected by the Covid-19 and also save others from getting Covid-19. In such a pandemic case, only one mantra works, if we are healthy, then the entire world is healthy,” he said.

At a time when there is no medicine have been made for the disease, the only thing to stay safe is restraint, he said. “Don’t go in the crowds, avoid going out and what today is being called social distancing in the era of Covid-19 is very useful,” he said.

“Our resolve and restraint is going to play very important role in fighting Covid-19.”

Coronavirus turned out to be the new threat for mankind and the virus is having a huge impact in almost 70 countries of the globe. It all started in December in China and now it is fast spreading. The film industry has been badly impacted by this. Some of the producers are also rethinking about the release dates if the coronavirus takes a toll and reaches the next level. As of now, coronavirus is shaking the globe.
