Natural Star Nani is stepping into the shoes of cricketer in his next outing titled Jersey. Gautam Tinnanuri is directing this sports drama that is laced with a strong emotional drama. On the eve of New Year, the makers released the first look poster of Nani from Jersey.

Nani also hinted that he plays a struggling cricketer at the age of 36 just to display his passion for the sport calling it Vintage sparkles. “At 36 there is nothing left for him to prove in cricket. The dreams and heart burns have been left behind.. 1996-97 Ranji trophy season was just a display of his love for batting” posted Nani.

Shraddha Srinath is the female lead and Sithara Entertainments are the producers. Jersey hits the screens during summer 2019.

Natural star Nani will essay the role of an aged cricketer in forthcoming sports drama Jersey. Gautham Tinnanuri, who impressed with his directional skills in Sumanth’s Malli Raava, will helm this interesting film which is set in the backdrop of cricket.

According to the latest reports, the makers have approached Malayalam starlet Rebe Monica John to play Nani’s romantic interest in the film. The director is looking for an actress who can bring a whiff of freshness to his female lead character. So, he wanted to import a relatively new star and came across Reba.

Gautham recently met her and narrated the role. The actress is likely to jump on the board very soon as she is desperate to make in roads in South India film industry.

Natural Star Nani is completely occupied with an interesting lineup of films. The actor is shooting for a multi-starrer DevaDas that features Nagarjuna in the other lead role. The film has been slated for September 27th release and Nani will soon move on to his next project Jersey which is a sports drama. Gautam Tinnanuri is the director and Nani plays a cricketer Arjun in the film. The female lead is being finalized.

The latest update is that Nani will have triple shades in the film. Jersey revolves around the life of a young and aspiring cricketer who turns a responsible husband. What’s so interesting is that Nani has been asked to play a 70-year-old man in the film which is the third shade. Nani was extremely impressed with the three shades of his role. The regular shoot commences from October and Jersey is produced by Sithara Entertainments.

The movie is set in the backdrop of cricket and it has been titled Jersey. The actor himself took his social media handle to release the first poster of the movie. The pre-production work of Jersey is currently on and the regular shoot will commence later this year.

Nani plays Arjun in the film and the first look showcases the cricket kit along with a jersey. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi will bankroll Jersey on Sithara Entertainments banner. The pre-production work is on and Nani is busy wrapping up the shoot of his next film which is a multi-starrer and features Nagarjuna in the other lead role.
