ISIS Threatens To Carry Out “Lone Wolf” Attacks Across India

A warning has been given by the Terror group Islamic State (IS) to carry out ‘Lone Wolf’ attacks across the country. A video released by an ISIS sympathiser in Kerala exhorted terrorists to attack Indian festivals like Kumbh Mela and Thirssur Pooram.

Calling sympathizers to launch attacks like the Las Vegas shooting in which 59 people had lost their lives, the male voice quoted verses from the Quran in Malayalam. In the video, the male voice told the ISIS followers to poison food of people of other religions; use trucks to plough through religious gatherings like Maha Kumbh.

“You use your intellect. Poison their in food. Use trucks. Drive over them at Thirssur Pooram or at Maha Kumbh Mela. IS Mujahideen are doing it in several parts of the world. In Las Vegas, one of our supporters killed many people at a music concert. At least you should try to derail a train. Or use a knife,” reported a leading news channel.

The clip was sent through instant chat application, Telegram Messenger, from Afghanistan, said the police sources. The voice is believed to be of ISIS terrorist – Rashid Abdullah. He had left India to join the terror group in Afghanistan. The National Investigative Agency (NIA) had also charge sheeted the terrorist.

The video clip came out as police have said that around 100 people from Kerala may have joined the Islamic State. It also asked the Muslims to migrate from house of non-believers to the house of believers.

“If you are not able to do that despite your prayers and efforts, then you should financially support Daulatul Islam and Islamic State,” the male voice said.

Now that the communally sensitive audio clips has been released, the state police and intelligence agencies are on their toes. “We are very well aware of the issue and seriously working on countering it. We already got information regarding the 50 audio clips and trying to trace its source. The file now in circulation is created recently as it has reference to last month’s Las Vegas shootout also,” a senior police officer told a leading news paper.
