Macherla Niyojakavargam movie review

Story: Rajappa( SamuthiraKhani) is a seven times MLA from Macherla constituency who always win unanimously. Newly appointed collector Siddharth Reddy ( Nithiin) ‘s aim is to conduct elections and field a candidate against Rajappa. Rest of the film is how far the collector is successful in his task

Analysis:

Nithiin who predominantly known forsoft roles attempts an out and out mass role in this film. That’s the only new thing in this film otherwise every frame every scene and every dialogue are utterly predictable. The story is outdated one, which should be fine as long as the director offers something new treatment. But, the simple story line offers nothing exciting nor enjoyable.
First half story runs in Visakhapatnam, shifts to Macherla right before the interval. Vennela Kishore takes the majority screen time in first half than Nithiin. However, the attempted comedy on Kishore did not work either. SIddharth likes Swati ( Kriti Shetty) and follows her to Macherla where he comes across Rajappa’a atrocities.

The entire second half is dedicated to single thread of conducting elections in Macherla. Thus, the script fails to engage the audience. The item song shot on Anjali and Nitthin is the only bearable item in the film.

Nithiin’s getup and performance are cool as Collector SIddharth. Krithi Shetty as Macherla girl didn’t get right role to match her strengths. Catherine ‘s role is insignificant one and she is adequate . Murali Sharma and Indraja play parents of Nithiin. Rajendraprasad role is limited. Samuthirakhani in dual role appeal to masses. Vennela Kishore got lengthy role but the comedy script works partially. Production values are adequate.

Verdict :

A Two and Half hours torture film with only bearable thing ‘ I am ready ‘ item song in it. Nithiin’s mass avatar is different, he performed quite decent but the debutant director lack any skill to support the film. Overall, an avoidable film.
