Rana Daggubati replaces Bollywood Superstar

With Bollywood actor Nana Patekar facing #MeToo allegations, the makers of Housefull 4 decided to replace him and started hunting for the right actor. They finally ended up roping in Rana Daggubati for the role and the actor too was happy signing the project. Rana Daggubati will join the sets of Housefull 4 next week. The film’s director Sajid Khan too has been replaced recently by Farhad Samji.

Though initially the makers wanted to chop off Nana Patekar’s role, they later decided to replace him with the right actor. Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Kriti Kharbanda are the lead actors in Housefull 4 which is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film will hit the screens next year.

Tanushree Dutta accuses Nana Patekar of harassing her on set

Actress Tanushree Dutta known to Telugu audience as heroine of Bala Krishna starrer “Veera Bhadra”. Her bollywood film “Ashik Banaya Apne” with Imran Hasmi was a big hit. During a TV interveiw, she made allegations on veteran actor Nana Patekar of harassing her during 2009 film “Horn Ok Pleassss”.

In an interview with a TV channel, Tanushree Dutta said that Nana harassed her during a film with him in 2008. She opened up on that then itself and informed media. She added, even though everyone the industry knew about Nana Patekar’s behaviour with women, no one spoke about it. She told, he has molested them, his behaviour with women has always been crude but no publication has printed anything about it.

Tanushree also told, in hollywood, “Me too” campaign started only recently but 10 years back itself she open up on such behavior. She also told, she didn’t get opportunities in the industry after she opened up on the harrassment incident. Tanushree’s comments went viral in social media. Nana patekar has actually responded on this in 2008 itself saying, she is giving misinformation. we will have to wait and see if he will respond again or choose to ignore.

A photograph showing superstar Rajinikanth and actor Nana Patekar bonding on the set of upcoming Tamil film “Kaala”, being directed by Pa. Ranjith, has gone viral on social media.

Sporting a happy smile, Rajinikanth and Nana are seen with arms around each other in the image.

In the film, Rajinikanth and the “Ab Tak Chhappan” star will be seen locking horns.

Nana Patekar plays a ruthless politician, while Rajinikanth will take him head on in the role of a slum lord-turned-gangster.

Having been shot for over a month in Mumbai, the film’s shoot will next shift here from July 10.

The next schedule of “Kaala” will be shot in a replica of Dharavi slum set.

The film, produced by Dhanush, also stars Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi, Samuthirakani and Sakshi Aggarwal.

Nana Patekar plays the antagonist in ‘Kaala’

Actor Nana Patekar will be seen playing the main antagonist in superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming Tamil gangster drama “Kaala”, a source said.

“Nana ji plays a conniving, ruthless politician and he takes Rajinikanth head on. It’s a very powerful role and audiences are going to love the face-off between him and Rajini sir,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

Rajinikanth’s goes against Nana’s political party, fighting for equal rights for Tamils in Mumbai.

Having completed his portion in the current schedule in Mumbai, Rajinikanth will join the sets in the next schedule here.

Being directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Samuthirakani and Pankaj Tripathi.

The project marks the second time collaboration of Ranjith and Rajinikanth after last year’s “Kabali”.

Dhanush is bankrolling the film, and he is rumoured to be playing a cameo in the film.
