Actor Pawan Kalyan’s yet-untitled next Telugu project was launched here on Tuesday on the auspicious day of Dussehra. The film will be the remake of Tamil film “Vedalam”.

“It was a very low-key launch. Pawan Kalyan, director Neason and producer A.M. Rathnam attended the event. The film will go on the floors next year,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan’s next two films are remakes of Tamil hits.

His upcoming Telugu actioner “Katamarayuda” is the official remake of Ajith-starrer “Veeram”.

The new project, which will be helmed by R.T. Neason, will be the remake of “Vedalam”.

The regular shooting of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated action entertainer Sardar Gabbar Singh is going on at a brisk pace. Recently, the unit had wrapped a hectic schedule in Hyderabad and soon they will travel to Pune to shoot for some crucial scenes involving the principal cast. Noted television artist Sharad Kelkar is playing the baddie in the film.

According the latest reports, the first teaser of the film will be released on September 2nd which happens to be Pawan Kalyan’s birthday. Kajal Aggarwal is paired opposite Pawan Kalyan in this film and KS Ravindra aka Bobby is directing the film. Sharrat Marar is producing it in association with Eros International. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for the film.

Earlier this year, veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao has announced that he will team up with Pawan Kalyan for a film. But, there was no word yet from any of them regarding the details of the project and it is believed that the project might be delayed as Pawan Kalyan is busy with his political commitments and also shooting for Sardar Gabbar Singh.

Now, a close source confirmed that ace writer cum filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas is working on the script for this project and Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly) of Gopala Gopala fame will wield the megaphone for this project. More details will be revealed very soon. This project will go on floors once Pawan wraps up Sardar Gabbar Singh.
