Financial woes cleared for Puli Telugu version

Puli, the much hyped socio fantasy thriller of the season, finally cleared all the financial roadblocks and got released this evening in many single screens across the Telugu states. The multiplexes will start screening the film from night shows.

Following a sudden raid from the IT officials in the houses and offices of various Tamil stars, the release of film’s Tamil and Telugu versions was stalled yesterday. Vijay intervened and cleared the obstacles which resulted in the release of the Tamil version by yesterday afternoon shows. Yesterday, the Telugu version shows in Andhra and Telangana were completely cancelled.

The delay continued till today afternoon and finally the makers were able to release the film for the evening shows. Directed by Chimbu Devan, the film has Vijay , Hansika and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. SVR Media Pvt Ltd has bought the Telugu rights.

Puli post production work nearing completion

Puli is an upcoming socio fantasy thriller starring an ensemble cast in the form of Vijay, Shruti Haasan , Hansika, Sridevi, Sudeep and few others. The makers have spent a fortune on this magnum opus and the visual effects are going to be a huge asset to the film. The first trailer of the film garnered a thumping response from the audience. The film is gearing up to hit the screens simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil.

The post production phase is nearing completion as the re-recording activities are in the last stage. Already the CG work and special effects have been completed. The film will head to censor in the next week. In the meantime, grand plans are being sketched out for the Telugu audio launch in Hyderabad on the 19th of this month. SVR Media Pvt Ltd bought the Telugu rights of the film for a hefty price. The film is slated to hit the screens worldwide on October 1st.

Vijay’s Puli Postponed

Ilayatalapathy Vijay’s Puli is postponed to October 1st 2015 from the originally planned date, September 17th. Producers, P.T.Selva Kumar and Shibu Thameens in their press release stated that post production work of the film is taking longer than anticipated and the delay in release is unavoidable to maintain quality. We gathered information that the CG work of the film is taking a lot of time to fine tune as the film has 2200 standalone CG shots in it. 2200 CG shots is highest for any film ever to be made in India. Puli is being directed by Chimbu Devan and Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music. Sruthi Hassan and Hansika are paired with Vijay in this fantasy adventure. Sri Devi is playing a villainous role. SVR Media is presenting the film in Telugu.
