Shankar reprises Ukraine for Rajinikanth

Sensational director Shankar is known for his big budget films and he scored massive hits in his career. He is currently working on the sequel of Robo which has been titled 2.0. Rajinikanth is the lead actor in the movie and Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist. Amy Jackson is the female lead and 2.0 is made on a massive budget of Rs 350 crores. One among the songs has been planned to be shot in Ukraine during some extreme temperatures.

However considering Rajinikanth’s health, Shankar recreated the theme set of Ukraine in Chennai and the song has been canned. A Hollywood VFX expert worked for the song which is said to be the first ever song shot like this. Rajinikanth wrapped up his part and the post-production work is currently on cards. 2.0 is said to release in over 15 languages early next. AR Rahman composed the music and Lyca Productions bankrolled the film.

MoCap Technology for Robo 2 ?

Director Shankar is currently busy with the pre production work for the sequel to his 2010 science fiction blockbuster Robot. Reports close to Shankar revealed that the film will be launched in December and the regular shooting is likely to commence next year.

Reportedly, the makers of the film are likely to use motion capture technology for some key scenes in the film. Usually referred as MoCap Technology, it is used to digitally capture human movements. The technology helps the filmmakers to get more realistic human movements in their films. Earlier, it was used in films like Avatar and Kochadiyaan.

It is also heard that the entire film will be shot in 3D. Britain model Amy Jackson is in talks for the female lead’s role. Sources report that Arnold Schwarzenegger is likely to play the antagonist role in the film. More details about this crazy project are yet to be revealed.

Show man Shankar is on a comeback trial. After a not so successful I, he is preparing to take off once again with the sequel of Robo. Robo – 2 will feature Rajinikanth as Chitti – The Robot once again. Shankar promises that Robo – 2 will be better than Robo and will be on a bigger scale on every front. Shankar is planning to rope in an A list Hollywood action hero as the villain of this Science Fiction action saga. Robo – 2 is being planned with a budget of 250 crores and makers are trying to rope in Katrina Kaif as the heroine. Srinivas Mohan will handle the VFX of the film and A.R.Rahman will score the music. Robo – 2 is likely to take off in January 2016.
