Shankar responds about Robo Plagiarism controversy

Tamil media from the past couple of days started speculating that a non-bailable warrant is issued against top director Shankar after he failed to appear before the court regarding the Robo plagiarism controversy. Shankar responded for the same and he issued an official statement saying that no such warrant is issued against him. He also clarified that his advocate brought this issue to the attention of the court and the judge confirmed that there was no warrant issued against him.

“I am very surprised to see such false news being circulated without any verification and the same has caused needless anguish to my family and well-wishers. I request this clarification will be carried by all media to ensure such false news does not spread any further” told Shankar in a statement. Earlier to this, a writer named Arur Tamilnandan alleged that Shankar’s Robo has been inspired from his idea ‘Jiguba’ that was published in a Tamil magazine in 1996.

Aishwarya Rai’s cameo in 2.0

2.0 is one of the most awaited films that is releasing soon. Shankar is the director and Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, Akshay Kumar are the lead actors. There have been wide specultions that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who played the female lead in Robo will have a cameo in the film. Director Shankar himself revealed that Sana (Aishwarya Rai) will be a part of 2.0 and will be seen in a cameo.

The audience will have several references about her role throughout the movie informed Shankar. The top director asked the audience to watch the film so that they would get excited and did not reveal much. 2.0 has been carrying massive expectations and is betting big on VFX work. The film will release in 3D on November 29th in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages.

2.0 Telugu rights snapped for a Massive Price

Sensational director Shankar is making news with the sequel of Robo, which has been titled 2.0. Superstar Rajinikanth is the lead actor in the movie and the entire shoot of the film has been wrapped. Shankar wanted ample time to wrap up the post-production work as the movie has enough dose of VFX work. 2.0 is said to be the costliest ever film made in Indian cinema and the makers spent Rs 400 crores on the movie. The film too has been carrying huge expectations and has been slated for early next year release.

The makers have been quoting Rs 80 crores for the Telugu theatrical rights across AP and Telangana alone. Producer Sai Korrapati has been leading the race however the update says that the deal has been closed. Top distribution house Global Cinemas along with Lyca Productions will release the film across AP and Telangana. The makers have not disclosed the exact price of the deal. AR Rahman is the music composer and Lyca Productions are bankrolling this prestigious project. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist and Amy Jackson is the heroine.

Shankar busy designing 2.0 Climax: Two Versions Ready

Sensational director Shankar who is known for his challenging films is all set with 2.0 which is said to be the costliest ever Indian film till date. Rajinikanth is the lead actor in this film which is the sequel for Robo. Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist in the film and Amy Jackson is the female lead. The climax of the film along with couple of songs are yet to be shot. Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar moved to their respective commitments and will join the sets back when Shankar is all set for shoot.

The latest update says Shankar is specially designing the climax episodes and he wanted enough time for them to be shot. With Rajini and Akshay aware of the plot, the duo came out with two different points as per their view. Rajinikanth suggested that it should be based mostly on VFX work while Akshay suggested some realistic stunts to be shot on the lead actors. The final decision will be taken by Shankar who is currently busy with the work. There is no update about the shooting schedules and Rajini is currently in Mumbai shooting for his next Kaala. 2.0 is produced by Lyca Productions and it will hit the screens early next year.

2.0 to release in 15 Languages

Superstar Rajinikanth wrapped up the shoot of his prestigious project 2.0 which is said to be the sequel for Robo. Directed by Shankar, the principle shoot has been wrapped up and the film is currently busy with the post-production work. Made on a massive budget, Shankar and his team wanted ample time for the post-production work after which the makers pushed the release from Diwali this year to Republic Day next year. With budget over Rs 400 crores, the film has huge dose of VFX effects which are said to be the film’s major highlights.

With Baahubali: The Conclusion shattering all the existing records of Indian cinema and minting huge money across the International markets, the makers are in plans to release 2.0 globally in 15 languages at the same time. Dangal conquered Chinese market and Rajinikanth is quite familiar across many Asian countries. Hence 2.0 will be dubbed into various languages and will release on January 26th across the International circuits too. This will be a huge step from the makers of 2.0 as releasing the film in 15 languages is challenging.
