In a press note issued to the media, the filmmakers of Shankarabharanam mentioned that the movie will be trimmed to cut boredom. The film made with a budget of around five and a half crore was sold over ten crore plus. The collections however were not encouraging as the story had a pale screenplay and it had a deja vu feel feel. The direction by debutant Uday Nandanavanam was below average. Taking all this into consideration they have decided to trim the film by 12 minutes. Kona who has done directorial supervision had given a series of flops..Akhil, Brucelee, Tripura, now..Shankarabharanam. The next releasing is Dictator, hope the film lives upto the expectations of Balakrishna’s fans.
