Virat Karrna is making his debut as a hero with the upcoming new-age political thriller Peddha Kapu-1 directed by Srikanth Addala. Miryala Ravinder Reddy of Dwaraka Creations is producing the movie on a high budget.

Interim, the makers announced the theatrical arrival date of Peddha Kapu-1. As is known, Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar is not arriving on September 28th. So, it will be a big advantage for Peddha Kapu-1. Virat Karrna appears in an intense avatar in the poster which evidently is from an action sequence.

The film’s teaser received a positive response, while the first single became a chartbuster. The makers will intensify the promotions, as the release date is not far away. Pragathi Srivastava played the heroine in the movie for which music is scored by Mickey J Meyer.

Buzz: Srikanth Addala to direct Akhil?

Akhil Akkineni is on a break after the debacle of Agent. He returned back from a world tour recently and he is focused on his upcoming projects. Akhil gave his nod for an expensive periodic drama titled Dheera that would be produced by UV Creations. The latest speculation say that Akhil gave his nod for one more film and it is said to be a family entertainer. Srikanth Addala will direct the film and an official announcement is expected to be made soon.

It is not clear if Akhil will shoot for both these films simultaneously or he would wait to complete the project of UV Creations first. Srikanth Addala directed Peda Kapu, an action entertainer and the film will release soon. There are also reports that Akhil would take the final call about Srikanth Addala’s film after the release of Peda Kapu.

One more remake for Srikanth Addala?

Sensible director Srikanth Addala directed films like Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. He has been focused on the remake of Asuran with Venkatesh that is titled Naarappa. The entire shooting portions of the film got completed long ago and the makers are in plans to release the film after the pandemic calms down. Asuran is a raw subject and Suresh Babu locked Srikanth Addala for the movie. The latest update coming says that Srikanth Addala is in talks for one more remake.

Dhanush’s recent offering Karnan was a smashing hit and it even received critical acclaim. Bellamkonda Suresh acquired the Telugu remake rights of the film recently for a fancy price. Srikanth Addala has been approached to direct the remake and the discussions are currently going on. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas will play the lead role in the remake. Srikanth Addala is yet to give his nod for the film. Bellamkonda Sreenivas will take up Chatrapathi remake soon and he will start the shoot of Karnan remake next year.

Addala begins Asuran remake silently

Suresh Productions has begun pre-production work for the remake of ‘Asuran’. The production house is going to produce it in Telugu with Venkatesh in association with the original Tamil producers. The casting process has also begun.

A casting call has been announced. Seven newcomers will be given a chance for the main roles. The casting call is announced for the male actors only. Venkatesh will reprise the role that was done by Dhanush in Tamil. ‘Asuran’ is a gritty drama directed by Vetrimaaran with a strong Dalit tone. Doubts were raised whether it would suit Venkatesh’s image but the senior star is going ahead with the remake plans.

Even after social media put up funny memes when the news of directorial reins handed over to Srikanth Addala, the production house has made an agreement with him. Addala is re-writing the script for the Telugu. After the debacle of ‘Brahmotsavam’, the director has been trying hard to make a movie to the sets and this remake as a blessing.

The latest reports suggested that Srikanth Addala has almost been confirmed as the director for the Telugu remake of ‘Asuran’, Dhanush starrer Tamil blockbuster. Venkatesh will reprise Dhanush’s role. Ever since his name appeared in the media, the director has been subject to the trolling online.

Netizens have started circulating parodies and memes. Srikanth Addala is not the right choice for this remake, they declare. But Venkatesh and producer Suresh Babu have not yet announced his name officially.

Director Srikanth Addala, who delivered an embarrassing flop with Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam, is biding time to make a good come back with his next project. He has been working on a script since the last six months.

The latest we hear is that the SVSC director has readied the final draft and recently met producer Allu Aravind. Impressed with his narration, Aravind agreed to pool resources for the project under Geetha Arts Banner. It is learnt that the film will feature all new cast with an interesting backdrop.
