A week after YSR Congress Party hold a massive `Yuvabheri’ programme in Vizianagaram, in the North Eastern district headquarter successfully, in the presence of party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, its district party president and MLC Y S K Veerabhadra Swamy has resigned to the party post.

Party circles are wondering about his resignation as he single-handedly organised the show and remaining as a strong leader for the party since its inception in the district. It is evident it was due to differences with former minister Botsa Satyanarayana, who has reportedly claimed the credit for the `big show’ and also interfering into district party affairs.

Swamy who had a good hold over Vizianagaram town has joined YSRCP before 2014 elections and contested as MLA but lost to TDP.

Later, he was made the MLC along with district president and he was comfortable in the party until Botsa stepped in. Since the joining of former minister Botsa Satyanarayana, who has a strong presence in the district, he said to be unable to sail with him and has been expressing his dissent towards his attitude.

Though Botsa and Swamy were colleagues in Congress party but both had some differences for the past few years and were maintaining a distance of sorts. Though these differences were brought to the notice of the party chief Jaganmohan Reddy, couple of times, it was said that his indifference makes Swamy angry.

Though Veerabdhadra Swamy said that he was resigning due to some personal reasons, sources says he was discontent with the strong-arm tactics of Botsa Satyanarayana. Stating that he will continue to serve as MLC, he urged the party chief Jaganmohan Reddy to relieve him from the post immediately.

Both the leaders headed two different groups and have been organising programmes on the strength of their own. But the followers of Swamy accuse Botsa for trying to isolate him in the party. Miffed with it, Swamy held a meeting with his followers and vented his agony. Meanwhile, the high command sensing some trouble, has reportedly tried to pacify Swamy but he was reluctant to stay back.
