TDP will complain to Central poll panel, say TDP leaders

If Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Mukesh Kumar Meena, does not act on the complaints lodged with him on the largescale irregularities in the voters lists, the TDP will complan to the Central Election Commission team that is visiting the State soon, said the party senior leaders here on Wednesday.

A TDP team led by its State unt president, Atchen Naidu on Wednesday met the CEO and complained to him on the largescale irregularities in the voters lists in almost all parts of the State. The TDP team comprises the senior party leaders, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Varla Ramaiah, Nakka Ananda Babu, Gadde Rammohan Rao, Payavula Kesav and others.

Later they told media persons that they informed the CEO that the ruling YSRCP in a planned manner getting the eligible votes deleted and are enrolling huge bogus votes. The TDP leaders made an appeal to the CEO to initiate action on these issues as the ruling party is resorting to it in a planned way by hatching a conspiracy.

The TDP leaders said that the CEO promised them to take action against those persons who are involved in such nefarious activities whose sole aim is to retain power. Atchen Naidu said that the CEO assured them that memos will be served on every officer, including the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and even on the district collectors if they are found involved in such activities.

The TDP leaders felt that since the ruling party leaders came to know that they are meeting the CEO, some Ministers and other ruling YSRCP leaders met him in a hurry and complained to the CEO against the TDP. Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is well aware that he will get defeated in the coming elections and thus resorting to such irregularities in the electoral rolls.

Kesav said that the CEO gave them a clear assurance that action will be taken against any official, however big he or she maybe, if they are found indulging in the irregularities. He said that the party leaders also complained to the CE on the secret surveys being conducted in the State.
