The deepening RTC crisis has now fallen in the Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan’s court. She has already briefed PM Modi about the mismanagement of the strike. Now, after returning to Hyderabad, the Governor began direct action. She telephoned Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and enquired about the problems that are complicating the strike. She directed the state government to take necessary steps to prevent inconvenience to the passengers.
Transport Principal Secretary Sunil Sarma went to Raj Bhavan and met with the Governor. He reported to her on the latest situation of the RTC strike. Tamilisai asked the government whether there is any law that permits a government to self-dismiss employees who are on strike. Will this be allowed legally or constitutionally? She wondered how 48,000 employees can be announced as self-dismissed in one stroke.
The Governor told Sunil Sarma that she has been receiving many complaints on the growing problems caused to the public due to RTC strike. Later, Sarma rushed to Pragathi Bhavan to attend review meeting by CM KCR
