TV9 absolute dominance in Hyd and Urban areas

TV9, the leading news channel in Telugu retained its numero uno position in the industry yet again, as per recent BARC ratings . Especially, it demonstrated absolute dominance in Hyderabad and urban areas. Moreover, NTV, which is at second place, is not even close to TV9. TV5, that has been in controversy for being at loggerheads with the government stood at 3rd place. Sakshi retained its position in top 5 channels. In Hyderabad and urban areas TV9 rules the roost with skyrocketing ratings. I’m Hyderabad, V6 relegated NTV to 3rd place.

TV9 is covering both positive and negative news on the government in recent times. There are some subtle changes in the presentation of the news. The exit of former CEO Ravi Prakash seems to have not affected the popularity of TV9. Also, as per reports, TV9 Rajnikanth has been steering the ship effectively after upheaval of changes on the editorial side.
