Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth announced his political entry and wrapped up the shoots of 2.0 and Kaala. In a surprising move, he announced a political thriller in the direction of critically acclaimed Kartik Subbaraj. The pre-production work of the film is going on full swing and veteran actress Simran has been approached for an interesting role in the film. It is still unclear if she will play the female lead or any other crucial role. The makers preferred not to respond on this as of now.
Vijay Sethupathi is said to be playing the lead antagonist in this untitled movie and Anirudh Ravichander is composing the tunes. The regular shoot commences later this year and Sun Pictures will bankroll this project. Rajinikanth is waiting for the release of Kaala on June 7th. The release date of 2.0 is yet to be locked and the film is directed by Shankar.
