Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s next offering Bigil is carrying massive expectations and the film directed by Atlee is hitting the screens during Diwali. Made on a budget of Rs 180 crores, Bigil is a sports drama laced with all the commercial ingredients. Writer and director Nandi Chinni Kumar filed a petition in the Telangana Writers Association claiming that Bigil is inspired by his script ‘Slum Soccer’.
A complaint has been registered and the Telangana Writers Association will take a call after reviewing the stories. Chinni Kumar claims that the film’s soul and the major plot has been inspired by his script. Earlier before this KP Selva approached Chennai High Court claiming rights for Bigil but the Chennai court dismissed the plagiarism charges against Atlee.
Bigil features Nayanthara in the heroine’s role and AR Rahman composed the music. Bankrolled by AGS Entertainments, Bigil will release on October 25th in Telugu and Tamil languages.
