65th National Awards: Ghazi wins Best Telugu Film Award

The 65th National Awards have been announced today and India’s first submarine film Ghazi ended up winning the national award as the best Telugu film. Directed by Sankalp, Ghazi is all about the sinking of submarine PNS Ghazi during the India – Pakistan war in 1971. Rana Daggubati, Taapsee, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni played the lead roles in the movie. The jury has been extremely impressed with the film’s content and awarded Ghazi the best film.

Newton has been named as the Best Film in Hindi and veteran actress Sridevi who passed away recently received national award as the best actress award for her outstanding performance in MOM. AR Rahman has been named as the best music composer for Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai and he even received the national award as the best composer of background score for the film MOM. Baahubali: The Conclusion received two national awards for Best Action Stunts and Best Popular film providing wholesome entertainment.
