There is a saying that film industry runs after success,. Proving it for the nth time, producers are now running after director Sandeep Vanga, who made a sensational debut with ‘Arun Reddy’. This very same aspiring director had once roamed around producers’ offices only to face rejections. When no producer believed in the subject of Arjun Reddy, Sandeep himself bankrolled the film.
Before penning Arjun Reddy, Sandeep had prepared a crime thriller titled ‘Sugar Factory’. He knocked the doors of several producers over one year holding that script in his hand, but no producer showed faith in him. Some producers even tried to deflate him saying his subject had too much intelligence.
Feeling that a love story may get the backing of producers, Sandeep kept ‘Sugar Factory’ script aside and penned Arjun Reddy. No producer was convinced with this subject as well, since most of the producers believe in run-of-the-mill subjects. Finally, Sandeep himself produced the film with the backing of his brother.
Interestingly yet predictably, the same producers who had earlier closed doors on Sandeep, are now coming forward with lucrative offers to produce ‘Sugar Factory’.
Sandeep however is decided to produce the film on his own as the subject is very close to his heart.
