Saaho is a multilingual futuristic action entertainer starring Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and few other prominent actors in crucial roles. As this is Prabhas’ immediate film after the mighty Baahubali franchise, which stormed the worldwide box office with unprecedented revenues, expectations are sky high among audience and trade circles. UV Creations, the production unit, is shelling out an astronomical budget for Saaho, which is a Non – Baahubali highest budgeted film.
Even before the shoot is half done, Saaho is inviting huge offers for its producers. According to the latest reports, UV Creations got an offer in the range of 210 Crores for Tamil and Hindi version theatrical rights and the satellite rights. This is a staggering offer considering the budget is earmarked at 200 Crores. As the AP/TG offers are valued around 90-100 Crores, the production house is likely to make a fortune with the film’s pre release business.
Unless the budget shoots up dramatically, UV Creations will easily takeaway huge profits with Saaho. Also, there is a risk for the production house : if the film gets delayed further, Prabhas’ ‘Baahubali’ craze might diminish as days progress which in turn impacts the pre release business to some extent.
So, the risk and the reward with Saaho are in equal proportions for UV Creations.
