Sandeep Reddy Vanga created a sensation with his debut movie Arjun Reddy. The movie has been declared as a cult classic and Vijay Devarakonda’s performance has been widely lauded. Now the movie is being remade in all the other Indian languages. Sandeep who directed the original has been asked to direct the Hindi version of the film. While Ranveer Singh was very excited about the role and he signed the film. However the actor felt that he wanted not to do dark roles as of now and is exploring other interesting roles.
With Ranveer’s exit, Sandeep approached Shahid Kapoor for the role and the actor too replied with a positive nod. Shahid’s performance in the movie Udta Punjab has been loved by everyone and Sandeep decided to step into the shoes of Arjun Reddy. The actor will lose 8-9 kgs for the film which will start rolling during the first half of next year. Shahid will also do enough homework before he starts shooting for the film. A top Bollywood production house will produce the film.
