TRS to take on Modi’s Government in the ensuing winter session of the Parliament that is to begin from Tuesday, alleging that it is not only discriminating the Telangana but also not fulfilling the promises made during the division of the State.

A day ahead of the winter session to begin the TRS once again stepped up its anti against the Centre. This time the TRS MP from Nizamabad, Kalvakuntla Kavitha has alleged that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was not fulfilling assurances mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Re-organization Act.
Alleging that the Centre has adopted a step-motherly attitude towards the infant Telangana State, she said that the Centre was not dividing the High Court though the new State was formed several months ago. Union Law Minister Sadananda Gouda raised the High Court issue to win in the last MLC elections, but kept the issue aside after the elections.

Taking the former Union Minister and Congress leader S Jaipal Reddy and BJP State president G Kishan Reddy, Kavitha said both the leaders were not raising the High Court issue with the Centre. The Centre also cancelled the funds meant to release for small projects in Telangana State, she alleged.

Reminding that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took 14 issues to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June last year, Kavitha alleged that the Centre has not fulfilled even a single assurance. “The Centre was least bothered appeal of the Chief Minister over release of funds for development of the GHMC, she alleged. She also said the TRS would raise Telangana problems in the ensuing session of Parliament.

She also alleged that though Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu released thousands of crores of rupees for development of Amaravati, proposed new capital of Andhra Pradesh. But, he did not release a single rupee for the Musi River development. She said that the Centre had allotted a Horticulture University for Telangana and promised funds for the same, now, the Centre changed its tune and not giving funds, she alleged.

The Centre was clearly showing discrimination and doing injustice towards Telangana, she said, adding that the Centre was liberally allotting educational institutes to Andhra Pradesh. But, there has been little response from the Centre when the Telangana State sought a Tribal Varsity as the tribal population increased after the division of the united State, she added. The Centre also allotted Rs 2,000 crore to Andhra Pradesh from Rs 4000 crore allotted for the housing scheme across the nation, she added.

Finding fault with Kishan Reddy for accusing the Telangana government of non-performance, Kavitha said it was not proper for the State BJP chief to criticize Telangana State needlessly and advised him not to blame the Telangana State. She also made it clear that the Telangana government has no problem if the Centre releases excess funds to Andhra Pradesh State.
