Atadu influence on Sarileru Neekevvaru

Entertainment is going to be the main USP of Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’. The makers vouch for the same. You will roll on the floor laughing, said director Anil Ravipudi revealing the strength of his first big movie starring top actor.

Insiders say the story of ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and the entertainment quotient have a lot of similarities with Mahesh Babu’s iconic hit ‘Atadu’ (2005).

Trivikram directed ‘Atadu’ remains a favorite film for many. Even today, the film garners good TV rating points. In ‘Atadu’, Mahesh Babu masquerades as Pardhu, a person who died in a shootout saving him. Mahesh heads to Pardhu’s village, and a lot of entertaining and emotions scenes take place after that.

In ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ too Mahesh Babu, playing the role of an army major heads to Kurnool village to inform the death of a soldier to their family. But after landing in Kurnool, things take a different course and he stays back there. Love episodes with Rashmika and a long comedy track follow.

Looks like Anil Ravipudi not only took inspiration from Mahesh Babu’s ‘Okkadu’ in choosing Kurnool as a backdrop but he also got inspired by ‘Atadu’ for emotional and comedic episodes.
