Nandamuri Balakrishna is one actor who has built up a fanatical fan base over the years. This fan base does not waver based on the success or failure of his films. But in the Film Industry, Balayya is not usually the name you associate with the tag, ‘most sought after’. He has a separate band of producers and directors who cater to him.
But right now, the situation is different. Balakrishna has become one of the most sought after actors in the Industry for almost every director. The reason is his 100th film, which is still open. Many assumed that Boyapati would be the natural choice, given the blockbuster success of ‘Simha’ and ‘Legend’. But Balakrishna has singled his intention to listen to new scripts.
As a result, Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, Krishna Vamsi, Krish, Anil Ravipudi and a host of other directors are supposedly in the race. Every director is trying to claim that Balakrishna has given his nod but so far, no official confirmation has come from the star actor and politician.
There is another talk that Sai Korrapati, who is quite close to Balakrishna, is playing an influential hand in this process. Let us wait and see what happens with respect to Balayya’s 100th film.
