Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday asserted that he would do justice to North Andhra people by setting up Visakhapatnam railway zone.
He, however, did not mention any time frame on its manifesting. Naidu was delivering a keynote address to the delegates during 3rd BRICS Urbanisation Forum being held in Visakhapatnam, which is aimed at focusing on the issues associated with housing and infrastructure.
Terming the role of youth as crucial at this current juncture to the country, Chandrababu Naidu exhorted youth to eye their careers in the field of Information Technology.
“Population is growing steadily and so is the pollution in urban areas. Problems are being faced by the people because non-urban planning in the past,” the AP CM pointed out.
Stating that the country is fast developing, the Chief Minister hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for touring countries with a view to bringing investments to the country. Urbanisation would play a crucial role in the future and majority of the population would live in cities, Chandrababu Naidu predicted.
The Centre assured the Andhra Pradesh State of providing all the benefits that the state could get under special status, he said. Naidu said that he would not compromise on the assurances made by the Centre and added that he would script history by making Polavaram project a reality.
