Cast : Nithiin, Samantha and Anupama Parameshwaran
Director : Trivikram Srinivas
Music Director : Mickey J Meyer
Music on : Aditya Music

Trivikram Srinivas’ A..Aa, which stars Nithiin, Samantha and Anupama Parameshwaran in the lead roles, is one of the much awaited films this season. The audio composed by Mickey J Meyer was unveiled yesterday in Hyderabad. The album consists of 5 songs and the lyrics were penned by Ramajogayya Sastry and Krishna Chaitanya. Let’s us now see how the album turns out to be.

a1Song 1 : Yaa Yaa
Singers : Abhay Jodhpurkar, Anjana Sowmya, Sai Shivani and Chitra
Lyrics : Ramajogayya Sastry

The album kicks off in style with a superb rustic number ‘Yaa Yaa’. The song, which starts with a female voice over leading to the impressive vocals of Abhay Jodhpurkar, describes the pleasant ambience and the festive mood that we notice when we are on a visit to a village. The mood in the song shifts towards the end with Chitra’s rendition, ‘Gopala Gopala’, which evokes a strong emotional and nostalgic feel of mother’s love. Ramajogayya Sastry penned superb lyrics and Mickey used the key board to a good effect to make this song one of the best in the album.

Song 2 : Rang De
Singers : Ramya Behara, Rahul Nambiar, Sai Shivani
Lyrics : Ramajogayya Sastry

a4Moving to the next song in the album, we come across a typical Mickey J Meyer song ,Rang De. The spirited voices of the female singers suit the mood of the song and Mickey’s fast paced tune, though appears to have close resemblance to some of his past songs, elevates it to a decent level. Once again, Ramajogayya Sastry penned lyrics of beautiful value and meaning. This song might go well with the on-screen visuals.

a2Song 3 : Anasuya Kosam
Singer : Karthik
Lyrics : Krishna Chaitanya

The third song in the album is ‘Anasuya Kosam’ . In every Trivikram film, you find a song that describes the character of the hero or the heroine. Anasuya Kosam is a situational song that describes the hero’s struggle due to the behavioral traits of the heroine( Anupama Parameshwaran) in a rather funny way. Sung beautifully by Karthik, the song has catchy lyrics penned by Krishna Chaitanya. Mickey backed the soft and lively voice of Karthik with his impressive tune.

Song 4 : Mummy Returns
Singer : Shravana Bhargavi
Lyrics : Ramajogayya Sastry

a5The penultimate song in the album is a peppy number, Mummy Returns, sung by Shravana Bhargavi. The song starts with a hard rock tune followed by the husky voice of the singer. The lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry are OK and there is nothing so impressive about Mickey’s music in the song. The singer tried to elevate the song with her animated vocals, but the mediocre music score keeps this one as an average song in the album.

a3 Song 5 : Yellipoke Shyamala
Singer: Karthik
Lyrics: Ramajogayya Sastry
The last song in the album is a beautiful folkish number, Yellipoke Shyamala, crooned by Karthik. The song narrates the heartbreaking situation of the hero who gets separated with his lady love. The catchy lyrics will surely appeal to the mass audience and Mickey did a stupendous job with his peppy score. The foot tapping tune towards end is a big attraction that signs of a decent album.

Verdict :

All in All, A..Aa is one of the promising music albums of this year. The impressive and the meaningful lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry have been complimented very well by Mickey J Meyer’s pleasing music score. Yaa Yaa, Anasuya Kosam and Yellipoke Shyamala are instant hits and will easily top the charts.
