Amaravati turns the new destination for filmy shoots

With AP Government offering wide support for small budget films, several filmmakers have been showing interest to shoot their films in Andhra Pradesh. A bunch of films are being shot now in and around the state’s new capital Amaravati. Some of the filmmakers who hail from the region too are suggesting several places of Andhra Pradesh to shoot their films.

The prestigious NTR Film Institute construction work will start next month and this is said to boost up film making in the state soon. AP Government is proving good incentives, tax exemption and other benefits for filmmakers which is not given in other states because of which several small filmmakers are looking forward to shoot in AP. With Amaravati made on top class standards, several filmmakers too have been looking forward to capture the beauty of the new capital. 21 small films already applied for AP Government to get the eligible benefits.

Several film events too are being celebrated in Amaravati and the Government of Andhra Pradesh is expecting many more in the coming days.

  1. Producers and directors follow the money trail. When Andhra was divided from Tamilnadu, everybody thought that studios would continue to function in Madras rather than move to A.P. Incentives draw the flock to current A.P. when the time is right
