2.0 has been named as India’s costliest film which is directed by Shankar. The top director informed the makers that he would need enough time for the post-production after wrapping up the shoot and the makers promised that they would never pressurise him about the release. Shankar wanted the desired output as the film involves lot of VFX work and is even shot in 3D. A top American company has been asked to complete the VFX work and they have been paid huge amounts after Shankar imposed a strict deadline.
In a shocking move, the American VFX company announced itself bankrupt which left the makers puzzled. Hence the release of the film has been delayed and the entire VFX work has to be done by a new team. This even heaped up the film’s budget and left with no options, the makers have been investing again on the VFX work and the 3D effects. With the American digital company goofed up, the makers are not aware about the exact release date of the film. Once Shankar and his team are convinced with the VFX work, the release date of 2.0 will be out.
Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar played the lead roles in 2.0 and Lyca Productions is producing this big budget action thriller.
