The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday informed the Supreme Court that it has completed its investigation in the murder case of former Andhra Pradesh Minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.
Appearing before the bench headed by Justice M.M. Sundresh, the CBI made it clear that there is nothing left for them to investigate further. The agency stated that the probe has reached its conclusion and any further proceedings would depend on directions from the court.
The CBI clarified that if the Supreme Court issues any fresh orders regarding the case, it would act accordingly.
During the hearing, an advocate representing Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter, Sunitha, requested a passover, as the senior counsel handling the matter was unavailable due to proceedings in another court. The court is expected to resume hearing the case later in the day.
The Supreme Court had previously directed the CBI to investigate the high-profile murder case, which has attracted significant political and public attention in the state. Justice M.M. Sundresh’s bench is set to continue hearing the matter to decide the next legal steps.
This is a developing story. More details and updates will be added as the proceedings continue
