It is known news that actress Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual misconduct some days back. She alleged Nana Patekar misbehaving with her on the sets of 2008 film “Horn Ok Pleassss”. Many actresses supported Tanushree in this issue. Now, Women and child development minister Maneka Gandhi extended her support to Tanushree Dutta.
Maneka Gandhi told women should come forward to complain if such issues happen. It is known news that, in Hollywood, “MeToo movement” started and later several women started speaking about harassment they faced. Maneka told, similar movement should be started in Bollywood too. She told, “We should start something like #MeTooIndia in which any woman who is being harassed at any point of time should write to us and we should investigate” .
However, Nana Patekar denied these allegations. We will have to wait and see if this triggers a bigger movement across the country, as Union Minister herself asking people to come forward and open up.
