The government has issues orders shuffling 9 district collectors and 11 IAS officers on April18. In the hobble Babu Ahamed who was collector of Krishna district was put on hold and not given new posting. Vadarevu Vinay Chand took charge as the new district collector. Chandrababu Naidu garnered criticism for failing to recognise the sincere IAS officer Babu. Speculations were rife that Chandrababu stalled the posting following Jagan’s Nandigama hospital brawl with the collector after the Diwakar travels bus accident.
In about a month the IAS Officer was bestowed with new responsibilities. Babu, on Monday took over as CEO, Real Time Governance, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd, Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Ltd and Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Towers Ltd.
The 2003 batch IAS officer hails from Kerala. On Saturday, Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan inaugurated ‘Collector Babu Road’ at Nunna on the outskirts of Vijayawada. Naming the road is way of expressing gratitude by the villagers to the collector for taking initiative for laying the road, which was in a horrible condition.
