Young actor Dhanush scored a decent hit with VIP after which he decided to pen the script for the sequel. Dhanush asked Soundarya Rajinikanth to direct the movie and Dhanush, Amala Paul, Samuthirakani reprised their roles from the original. The movie completed all the formalities as per the schedule and planned to release the movie on July 28th. However the film’s release has been pushed to August and Dhanush along with Kajol has been promoting the movie all over.
Dhanush clarified saying that they are in plans to get a comfortable release in Telugu and Hindi along with Tamil because of which the release date of VIP 2 has been pushed to August. The official release date will be announced soon clarified Dhanush. Bollywood actress Kajol is playing the lead antagonist in the movie and Wunderbar Films along with V Creations bankrolled the movie.
