Director donates money, claims high publicity

Being generous is an appreciable thing but claiming too much of publicity for the good deed is unwelcome.

It is well known that Telangana government has launched an initiative – Farmers Investment Support Scheme which is popular as Rythu Bandhu Padakam. As a part of this scheme, Tollywood director Harish Shankar received some amount for his land in Kammadanam Village.

He immediately donated the amount to his village by handing over the cheque to the sarpanch in presence of the local MLA. Harish Shankar said he is doing this with a sense of responsibility.

Like many others, he showed his munificence by donating the amount. But, his urge for publicity of this donation is receiving criticism. He invited media to cover this news and also sent multiple press notes to all media houses.

Many are pointing out that he could have returned the cheque without much ado.
