With the success of Shatamanam Bhavathi and Mahanabhavudu, actor Sharwanand has turned out to be a bankable star for trade circles. But, does he command a 40 Crore market ?
It is well known that Sharwanand teamed up with talented director Hanu Raghavapudi for a romantic entertainer titled as Padi Padi Leche Manasu which also has Sai Pallavi as the female lead. The shooting formalities are progressing at a brisk pace. Recently, an extensive Kolkata schedule has been wrapped up and the team is heading to Nepal next.
Buzz is that the makers of this film are going overboard on the budget. The remunerations of the cast and crew and the remaining production cost add up to nearly 40 Crores which is a whopping budget considering Sharwanand’s market.
The combination of Sharwanand – Sai Pallavi will definitely add to the film’s buzz and will result in good pre release biz. But, trade circles believe that 40 Crores is way too much for Sharwanand’s current market potential and the profit margin for producers might be very slender.
Filmmaking needs a sensible planning in terms of budget. Such over the top spending without taking into account the hero’s market and the director’s track record would lead to commercial failure even though the film manages to garner good reception from audience.
