Kamal Haasan and Shankar resumed their long delayed film Indian 2 last year and the final shoot of the film got completed yesterday. The team is considering a summer 2024 release for Indian 2 as per the update and an official announcement would be made soon. A major portion of the film’s budget was allocated for VFX work and Shankar would take the call on the release date after the final VFX work gets completed. Shankar and Kamal Haasan also started working on Indian 3 and several portions of the film are shot. Indian 3 too will release in 2024.
Kajal Agarwal, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth will be seen in other prominent roles in Indian 2. Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Studios are the producers. Anirudh’s music and background score are expected to be a major boost for Indian 2. Kamal Haasan who is riding high on the success of Vikram has pinned many hopes on Indian 2. He will soon start the shoot of Mani Ratnam’s film this year.
