Lokanayakudu kamal Haasan is known to express his views on any controversial subject in a bold manner reasoning out with logic. It is known that Bull Fight is extremely famous in Tamil Nadu as Jalli Kattu during festival season Pongal. It is also popular in other parts of India.
However acting on the plea of PETA,Supreme Court has taken a strong view against Jalli Kattu and imposed ban on the game. Kamal Haasan who from the beginning has been supporting bull fight sought to differentiate between Jallikattu and bull fight in Spain where bulls are killed brutally.
Kamal who impressed with his bull fight scene in Puturaju (Virumandi) said “I’m a big fan of jallikattu,” and then shocked all saying “If you want a ban on jallikattu, let’s also ban biryani,” He said ” in South India and Tamilians treat Bulls as God, as part of the family unlike in Spain where bulls are killed brutally in the name of bull fight. ”
Kamal Haasan is starring in Sasbash Naidu along with Ramya Krishna and is daughter Shruti Haasan. Akshara Haasan,his second daughter is the assistant director.
