Kathi Mahesh, seems to know the knack of cashing the craze he is getting with negative comments on Pawan Kalyan. Even though he is known to some people as blogger, critic, actor and film maker he got almost a overnight fame with his anti-comments on Pawan and subsequent debates on TV channels that happened almost daily basis.
Now he announced that he will make a “political satire” film soon. Some asked him in the social media whether he is going to target Pawan Kalyan with that film. He replied, “Pawan Kalyan is just a small, insignificant part of life” and he told he wants to do much bigger things in life. Even though he says he is not targeting any one person with this movie, there is a pattern with such political satire movies. They all get released before or during elections time and target one particular person or party which they dont like. For example, Dasari’s “Pichodi chethilo raayi” movie before 1999 elections targeted Chandra Babu and TDP, his “Mesthri” movie in 2009 targeted Chiranjeevi and PRP party.
Though there are some genuine political satire movies which did not target any one specific person or party and in Telugu Kodi Rama Krishna used to make such films (like Bharat Bandh). Latest movie Nene Raju Nene Manthri is also to some extent such film on contemporary politics. But we have to wait and see what kind of movie Kathi Mahesh wants to make.
