The Jagan knife attack has come to be popularly called as ‘Kodi Kathi’ incident in Andhra. From common public to politicians, everybody is using this phrase in their daily interaction these days. TDP leaders are repeatedly using it to attack YSR Congress Party.
Minister Adinarayana Reddy, who hails from Kadapa district, describes Kodi Kathi incident as just a cinema-like episode created by Jagan and his party to create problems for the TDP government. Having worked in the YSRCP in the past, Adinarayana Reddy says that he is saying this as he has seen Jagan’s style of functioning from close quarters. There is no way Jagan will deal with others in a fair and straightforward way.
Adinarayana Reddy had to come out of YSRCP after he started trying to correct Jagan in several instances which was not tolerated by the party leadership. The Minister’s followers say it was very difficult for their leader to adjust with Jagan and continue in YCP.
Confronting Jagan and his party in Kadapa district is not an easy thing, but Adinarayana Reddy has taken a decision to mount his attack on YCP regardless of the future political consequences. TDP leaders believe their party will do far better in Kadapa next time because of growing weaknesses in Jagan camp.
