Manamantha may not have been able to get the cash registers at the box-office ringing. It was expected that the film would rake in collections at least in the A Centers and overseas, but that didn’t happen. However, it seems that didn’t deter its prospects with the satellite rights which have been purchased for a bomb! We hear the makers have managed to strike a deal worth a whopping Rs 6.8 crore!
The Telugu and Malayalam rights have been sold to the Star Network (MAA in Telugu and Asianet in Malayalam) which has even reportedly okayed to spend a huge sum on promotion of the film.
Meanwhile, talks are on for the satellite rights in Tamil where the expectations are pretty decent considering both Mohanlal and Gauthami are known faces to the audiences there. Interestingly, though Manamantha isn’t faring well in Telugu, Vismayam is said to be doing decent business at the BO.
