Top Tamil directors are facing tough times after delivering several classics. Mani Ratnam, Shankar and AR Murugadoss are some of the top directors of the film industry. Shankar has been facing severe criticism after delivering poor products like I and Indian 2. His upcoming movie Indian 3 is in real trouble. Shankar has been badly trolled after the release of Indian 2. His previous works were forgotten by his fans and he was trolled. Same is the case with AR Murugadoss who delivered several commercial flicks laced with a strong social message for the society.

Now, Mani Ratnam joined them after the release of Thug Life. The film released on Thursday and it was badly rejected. Thug Life is the weakest work of Mani Ratnam till date. Though he delivered flops, Mani Ratnam was never criticised or trolled. His name joined the list of Shankar and Murugadoss after the release of Thug Life. Even Kamal Haasan was trolled for Thug Life. The duo jointly produced the film and it is one of the biggest flops of the year.
