The theatrical trailer of Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming film Mehbooba, which has his son Akash Puri in the lead role, has been unveiled today evening and it gives a glimpse of what is in store after the film’s release.
The two minute trailer promises a patriotic drama which is a blend of war and love set up against the backdrop of India – Pakistan border conflict. More than the war between two countries, it looks like the film’s story is about a youngster’s war to win his love.
The trailer presents Akash Puri as a typical Puri Jagannadh hero who is adamant and undaunted. Akash is portrayed as a brave young soldier who has no inhibitions in fighting for his love interest hailing from the enemy land. He looks very enterprising and carries good energy levels thoroughly. Female lead Neha Shetty is just a blink and miss part of the trailer.
Shot predominantly in the picturesque locales of Srinagar, the cinematography is the biggest takeaway for the trailer for its top camera angles with breathtaking views.
The trailer ends on a high with the protagonist hailing the names of Salman Khan , Shahrukh Khan and Abdul Kalam and says Mere Mehbooba Zindabad.
The film is slated for release on May 11th.
