Minister of Industries and Telugu Desam Minister Amarnath Reddy made controversial remarks against YSR Congress party Nagari MLA RK Roja following her comments on Minister Akhila Priya’s dressing. Amarnath said, “If there are women like Roja, they will spoil the women fraternity in the state”.
He said that they would have retaliated with even more derogatory words but as people’s representatives they have certain limits on how to behave. Furthermore, the minister questioned, “If wearing chudidhar is wrong, should Nandyal women learn from her(Roja) how to wear a saree?”.
The TDP leader referring to her Jabardasth show telecasted on ETV, in a mocking tone said that people will know how she looks in a saree if they switch on their TV at 9:30pm. He said, “When she walks on Jabardasth dias, people get scared and runaway.”
Referring to Pokiri dialogues that Roja used during Nandyal by election campaign, the Minister continued his tirade. He advised Roja and YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy to talk sensibly at least now.
