BJP Bhopal MP candidate Pragya Singh Thakur’s comment continues to have its huge impact. She has already withdrawn her comment but her own party candidates are making counter comments. Even PM Modi has said that he would never forgive her. Pragya’s comment triggered TV debates across the country. The BJP is worried over how the public are reacting on her bold comment praising Nathuram Godse who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi.
Meanwhile, BJP Karnataka MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that Godse is far better as he has killed only one person. Kasab killed 72 persons while Rajeev Gandhi was responsible for the massacre of 17,000 people. The MP obviously came in defence of Pragya. All this controversy was started by Kamal Haasan’s ‘India’s first terrorist is Hindu’ comment. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, referring to Kamal comment, said that some issues should better be not dragged into public debates as it would erode our own value systems.
