Young and talented Nag Ashwin, who impressed the audience and critics alike with his directional debut Yevadu Subramanyam, is planning to direct a bilingual biopic which is based on the life of legendary yesteryear actress Savitri.
Titled as Mahanati, the biopic will be made on a lavish scale with top tier cast. There were reports that stars like Anushka and Vidya Balan have been approached for the titular role. But, Nag Ashwin refuted the rumours. Now, Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that talented South Indian actress Nithya Menen is under consideration for this interesting biopic. Reportedly, she had the narration recently and is likely to take a call soon. We have to wait and see if Nithya opts to play the lead role in this biopic.
Ashwin has spent considerable time for research on the life history of Savitri. If everything goes as planned, the project might go on floors very soon
